Energy Services Are Expanding – Lower Energy Costs Are Within Reach

Couleecap is here to help you save energy and money through the Home Efficiency Rebate Program. With over 50 years of experience in home weatherization and energy services, we’re proud to be a Focus on Energy IRA Registered Contractor and your trusted partner for energy-saving upgrades.

If you’ve never qualified for weatherization before, this expansion could make energy efficiency upgrades more affordable than ever. Income limits have expanded—see if you qualify today.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • For a free energy audit and greatest rebate, have a household income under 80% area median income.
  • You can be a homeowner or renter.
  • Be able to complete the income qualification process through Focus on Energy (paper applications available upon request).

Home Efficiency Rebate Program (HOME)

This is a whole-home, performance-based rebate program. If you qualify under 80% area median income, Couleecap will complete an energy assessment using the latest modeling technology to determine your home’s potential energy savings. The more energy your home is projected to save, the higher your rebate.

Projected Energy Savings

For those under 80% area median income

  • 20%–34% savings
    • Rebate: 100% of project cost
    • Cap: Up to $5,000
  • 35% or greater savings
    • Rebate: 100% of project cost
    • Cap: Up to $10,000

What Can You Expect?

Couleecap will support you from start to finish.

  1. First Step: Complete the income qualification process. Our team can help you get started.
  2. Second Step: Select Couleecap as your IRA registered contractor.
  3. Third Step: If you qualify under 80% median income, we’ll contact you to schedule your free energy assessment.
  4. Fourth Step: You decide the scope of your project based on audit and rebate results.
  5. Fifth Step: Couleecap completes your upgrades and handles all paperwork.
  6. Sixth Step: You’ll receive a post-install certificate and complete a short customer survey.

Start Your Application with These 5 Quick Steps

Follow these steps to select Couleecap as your provider and complete the Focus on Energy Income Verification Process:

  1. Select “YES” to the question “Are you currently working with an IRA Registered Contractor?”
  2. Enter Couleecap as the Trade Ally Company Name.
  3. Use irarebates@couleecap.org as the contact email.
  4. Check the box that says “Please include the company contact on the application decision email“.
  5. Once approved, Couleecap will contact you to schedule your free energy assessment.
