Food and Clothing Assistance


The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)


Provides food to pantries, meal sites, and shelters. Couleecap acts as an Emergency Food Organization handling the distribution of TEFAP food to pantries in the four county area.

Service Area: Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties
Eligibility: Participants must be income eligible and county residents. Must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty income guidelines.

Couleecap's Bargain Boutique Thrift Store

The clothing center is a 100% non-profit outreach service that provides quality resale clothing and household items at affordable prices. All items are donated from individuals and families in surrounding communities. Donors may be provided with a receipt verifying their donation, which may be used as a tax deduction. Volunteers are a real necessity in keeping the center in operation six days a week.
