Assisting Homeowners with Essential Home Repairs and Improvements

Couleecap helps low- and moderate-income homeowners make critical repairs and upgrades that improve safety, energy efficiency, and long-term livability. Our program focuses on essential improvements that create healthier living environments, lower utility costs, and support housing stability for families and individuals.

By assisting with necessary home repairs, we help residents preserve their homes, protect their investments, and improve their overall quality of life.

Home Repair Program Eligibility Requirements

  • Must live in a home located in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, Vernon, Jackson, or Trempealeau counties. (Please note: availability may vary depending on funding sources)
  • Household income must be at or below 80% of the county median income. View Income Guidelines (PDF).
  • Must own the home needing repairs and have lived in the home for at least one year.
  • Mobile homes located in mobile home parks are not eligible.
