Couleecap Releases 2025 La Crosse County Impact Dashboard Highlighting Local Impact
WESTBY, Wis. – As Couleecap celebrates 60 years of serving southwestern Wisconsin, the organization has released its 2025 La Crosse County Impact Dashboard, providing a snapshot of how local investments and community partnerships are helping La Crosse County residents build stability, achieve their goals, and strengthen the community.
The dashboard highlights the measurable impact of Couleecap’s programs in La Crosse County during 2025, showcasing outcomes in housing, energy assistance, weatherization, financial counseling, homeownership, and other services that help individuals and families overcome barriers and create pathways to long-term success.
“For 60 years, Couleecap has worked alongside communities to address challenges, create opportunities, and strengthen pathways to economic mobility,” said Hetti Brown, Executive Director. “This dashboard tells the story of what is possible when communities invest in people. It highlights meaningful progress in La Crosse County while reminding us there is still important work ahead.”
Founded in 1966 as part of the national Community Action movement, Couleecap has grown from its original mission of fighting poverty and expanding opportunity into a comprehensive network of programs serving thousands of residents each year across Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties.
Today, Couleecap provides services that meet people where they are, helping families navigate challenges, build financial stability, and improve quality of life. From affordable housing and homeownership opportunities to food access initiatives, energy assistance, and weatherization services, Couleecap works to create thriving communities where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
The 2025 La Crosse County Impact Dashboard highlights the difference these services are making locally:
- 3,939 households or 8,263 people served.
- 76 homes weatherized in La Crosse County
- 193 people serviced through our homeless programs.
While the dashboard reflects accomplishments from the past year, it also underscores the evolving needs facing residents throughout La Crosse County. Housing affordability, workforce shortages, child care access, and transportation challenges continue to affect individuals and families across the region.
To address these challenges, Couleecap remains focused on strengthening partnerships, expanding innovative programs, and pursuing new opportunities that increase access to housing, financial stability, and essential services.
“Our communities continue to evolve, and so do the challenges people face,” Brown said. “As we celebrate 60 years of service, we are also looking ahead. Our commitment remains the same: creating strong communities where every person has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of income, age, or circumstance.”
The Couleecap Impact Dashboard is designed to promote transparency, demonstrate the value of community investments, and provide stakeholders with a clear picture of how local resources are improving lives throughout La Crosse County.
